Currently, Molly serves in the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, Volusia County Florida as the Director of Legislative Affairs and Special Projects.  In her current role, Molly manages and directs the legislative affairs, special projects and interests for the Sheriff’s Office.

BACKGROUND

From June 2019 to November 2022, Molly served as the Director of Human Resources for the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, Volusia County Florida (900+ employees), where she created the Human Resources Department for the Sheriffs Constitutional Office. Her primary responsibility was to implement the key functions of Human Resources for a new constitutional Sherriff’s Office. Molly was directly involved in all human resources functions to include benefits administration, recruitment, retention, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, and the Sherriff’s Office collective bargaining processes to include contract negotiations, grievances and arbitration, and contract maintenance.

Prior to her appointment as the Director of Human Resources in the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Molly served as the Employment Manager for Volusia County, Florida (3,200 employees) from January 2016 to June 2019, where she was responsible for all aspects of employment for the Volusia County that included all uniform and non-uniform positions across the government.  Also, Molly played a significant role in the County’s initial diversity and inclusion plan and program.

Prior to her employment with Volusia County and for fourteen years, Molly was the Regional Vice President of Human Resources for Mercedes Homes located in Melbourne Florida (3400 employees).  In this role, Molly was responsible for overseeing human resources operations for this corporation’s southeast region.

Molly also has served as the Director of Human Resources for a start-up company AMICUS (Marketplace Bank) a Subsidiary of CIBC. She was tasked with setting up a Human Resources Department in Florida to accommodate the grocery chain retail banking structure which was a new concept that period.

Molly also worked for AT&T in an HR Manager/Consultant role, where she handled talent acquisition for select business units, was involved in the IBM acquisition and transition of employees and responsible for 50 Union members.

Molly has also worked in human resources consulting roles in Dubai and West Africa. Molly comes to CPSM with a broad knowledge base and experience in both private and public sector human resources.

Molly holds a Master’s Degree from Bethune Cookman University located in Daytona Beach Florida, and a Bachelor’s Degree and Certificate in Human Resources from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through Human Resources Certificate Institute (HRCI) and Certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the Society of Human Resources management (SHRM). She is also a past scholar of the Disney Leadership Institute.
